Swimming

What are your billing policies?

Billing Policies: Monthly dues are charged on the 1st of every month. If you need to place your account on “hold/suspend”, you must let Patriot Admin know prior to the 1st of the month to avoid being charged. If you make your request after the 1st of the month, the “suspension” will be effective the following month. We do not refund or pro-rate for missed practices. Excessive requests to place the account on “suspend” will incur a re-join fee. When you return from a suspension, you will be charged the full month’s dues for the month regardless of what point in the month you returned. Credit card transaction fees of 2.95% and $0.30 per transaction will be included in charges to the account. Declined credit cards are subject to a $25 administration fee.

What are your billing policies for ABC Group Lessons?

ABC Group lessons are a package of 11 lessons and 1 exam. They are scheduled to complete in one month. In order to provide all group lesson members with a continuous program, we do not allow make-up classes or refund for any unused lessons. Packages begin on the first of the month and end with the exam.

What are your billing policies for Private Lessons?

Private lessons are to be scheduled with your instructor. You will need to give them at least 24 hours notice to cancel a lesson. If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hour notice, the lesson will be marked as completed. Lesson packages with lessons twice a week must be completed within 6 weeks. Lesson packages with lessons once a week must be completed within 9 weeks. Any unused lesson at that point will be cancelled. We do not refund any unused lessons.

Do you offer a sibling discount?

We offer a mutl-athlete discount for families with more than one member currently on the team. Discount is 5% off two member dues, 10% off 3 member dues, 15% off 4 member dues and 20% off 5 or more member dues.

We offer a multi-athlete discount for members in our age group programs. Discounts do not apply to private lessons or ABC Group Lessons.

Do you offer anything for referrals?

Yes, we love to have our members recruit other new members. We offer $25 off monthly dues per new family that is referred and has joined the program.

Does my child need to try out?

While we do not have prospective members “try-out”, we do ask that you sign up for an evaluation so that we may place you in the right team or group. You can sign up for an evaluation spot on our website under class registration.

Do you offer a trial period?

We offer a free two week trial for our Age Group Swim Teams. We do not allow trials of our ABC Group Lessons or our Private Lessons. You must register in order to take advantage of our two week trial. When registering, please select “trial” as your billing group.

What kind of equipment does my child need to bring?

While we provide most equipment, if you would like to bring your own, you will need a kickboard, fins, swim buoy and paddles.

They should come to the pool deck with athletic shoes since there will be a dryland component to the practices.

When can I order a team suit or speedo?

You can order your suit directly from Ryte Sports. The link to the store is https://rytesport.com/collections/patriot-swim

Other apparel items will be available to order 2-3 times per year. Apparel order information is sent out club wide when the ordering window is opened.

Do you require volunteer hours?

Yes, we require our member families to volunteer 15 hours per calendar year. This may be fulfilled by mom, dad, grandma, etc. Hosting a swim meet requires many people on hand to make it a success. We need timers, snack bar operators, ribbon/award organizers, announcers and so many more. Hours not worked will be charged $50 per hour to the account at the end of the calendar year. Families may supply requested items for donation in lieu of hours volunteered, however, there is a limit to this. Only one hour per meet can be met by donating supplies.

What does my swimmer wear to swim meets/events?

The required uniform for swim meets and events are the Patriot t-shirt, cap and suit.

Do you hold practices in the rain?

Yes, we swim rain or shine. If there is lightning, we will pull swimmers out of the water and wait 30 minutes. If the 30 minutes have elapsed without another lightning strike, then they will resume practice. If there is another lightning strike within 30 minutes, the delay will start over again from the last lightning strike.

Is there a fee to swim in a meet?

Yes, swim meets will incur a separate fee from the monthly dues. Swim meets costs will vary depending on the host of the meet and the number of events entered.
